Great weighted vest for newbies
"I’ve always wanted a weighted vest since I’ve seen almost everyone in my neighborhood wearing one. I liked all the colors but I decided to go with black as it would best match all my outfits. The vest is comfortable and I like how I can tuck the straps in once I have adjusted it. At first use the vest feels very heavy and I couldn’t wait to take it off. After I few days I wanted to wear my weighted vest during workouts and cleaning. The vest does seem to have a manufacturing smell to it. I’m hoping once I wash the cover it’ll go away."

Whew! this was a workout without having to do . . .
"anything extra --- no gym visit, no weight lifting, no time wasted. . . I used the vest while doing housework, outdoor chores and my usual speed walking exercises. It did take a few days to get used to the extra weight and feel, but eventually I had gotten to the point of forgetting it was even on :) The only thing I can gripe about is when leaning over from the waist, the whole vest shifts forward passed my shoulders. If there was another strap/latch in the middle area (lower ribs), this might be remedied perhaps? Overall, I am quite happy with this product and enjoy using it, for I can tell it has already made a difference in my current strength level in just a short time. I feel stronger in my shoulders plus my posture has improved too, since you have to be more mindful with the extra weight surrounding your core area. Also like that the cover is washable and is easy to disassemble. Lastly, the 12 lbs is a very good starting point but it would be wonderful if additional weights could be put into the sleeves to increase strength training. TYSM for letting me try out your product! :)"

Effective and easy to use.
"I got the 12lb weighted vest to compliment my training in my marathon build. Using it for strength and mobility/stability workouts have been exactly how I expected and have been having no complaints at all. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to add a few more pounds to their workout routine."

Great for weighted walks!
"This was my first weighted vest so keep that in mind! I think this vest was great to wear when walking or doing light activities (I used it to clean up my house for an extra workout!) I believe for more HITT or running this would cause some chafing. I am bigger chested so the upper strap fit higher up- make sure you strap it down too or it would cause some sliding, The cover is very easy to remove and clean and that is a great perk for a sweaty person like me. I got the the white one and didn’t get in discoloration on the last few weeks I wore it."

A refreshing take on the weighted vest
"TL;DR: A unique take on design, both in form functionality and aesthetics. This translated in minimal to no shifting around when doing any jumping or explosive movements. Not adjustable in weigh but that isn’t the target audience. Overall, great for incline walks, push ups, and any high-rep, low weight exercise. This is for people looking to add a little bit of weight for resistance and an overall low impact weighted vest. Being both in the fitness world and in the military, I am no stranger to weighted vests being what they are. However (& this may be a hot take) I do not understand the obsession to make workout gear such as w-vests all “tactical”?? They are inherently uncomfortable and the material used is generally difficult to clean and abrasive/uncomfortable. If they aren’t all tactical they are of ridiculous conspicuous design. Though aside from my complaints I suppose they serve their function, and that perhaps the people who buy those kinds of w-vests are after that aesthetic? I digress. On to this Zulu w-vest! I will cover my top three things I love, followed by a few things that I personally think could be improved. These viewpoints are for the perspective of someone whose goals are primarily cardiovascular endurance training (running, HIIT, hiking/rucking) and power building (plyometrics, agility, sprints). I am also a big fan of calisthenics and walks after meals. PROS: 1. Form factor “backpack” design. As someone obsessed with backpacks and my Salomon Adv Skin 12, I love this part. The narrow and slim profile allows good ROM, rarely gets in the way, weight/plates aren’t directly on chest allowing good chest expansion. Big fan of the ability to tuck in the straps within the pockets by the clips. This one also does not shift that much with lateral or explosive movements! 2. Weight distribution. I mentioned above that plates aren’t on the chest and that it doesn’t move about that much — I think this is because of the way the “shoulder straps” are also part of the weight! Most other w-vests create these pressure points because of where the weights sit relative to how our body moves. I like how this vest emulates good ruck packing weight distribution (High and tight), as opposed to the traditional load out of spread out across the back. 3. Removable and washable fabric. I am one sweaty mf, and I will always always ALWAYS appreciate a solid fabric choice when it comes to any exercise gear I use. This was easy to navigate and all it took was unclipping the clasps and then giving the actual weights a wipe down and simply tossing the cover in the washing machine along with my other sweaty clothes! CONS: 1. Not adjustable in weight. Likely the biggest compromise of all the things I listed are pros, somethings gotta give. Some might consider the initial weights of these vests to be too light, but keeping the target audience in mind, it makes sense on why this is the case. 2. No carry handle. Silly of me to say this, I know. Though I feel as if it would be such an easy addition. While I understand that it should just be carried as a backpack, after a few miles on an incline or having it hug your upper back and shoulders for a workout, I think many would agree that sometimes a hang carry wouldn’t be a bad option. 3. No extra pockets? (This is purely me nit-picking) I mentioned above that I own and use a Salomon ADV Skin 12 for running/hiking. That thing is AMAZING!! So many pockets and thoughtful organization. The only reason I even bring up this point of improvement is because it had the misfortune of having that product exist and in my possession lol. I get it that this is a w-vest and not a running vest, but a good product in my opinion should always maximize end-user experience. Thats all I have! I hope this review gives anyone else a good idea of what this product is and who it’s for. Have a good day y’all, take care!"

Impressed!
"This is my first weighted vest, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. 12lbs didn’t sound like it would do much, but the extra effort needed to wear this was noticeable immediately! The smooth lines meant there was no irritation wearing it, the pocket was convenient for keys (thought it was a bit tight for my phone) and the adjustable straps allow it to work for a variety of bodies. I mostly walk with it, but tried a bit of running too; found it to be a bit jiggly for my liking. (I have a pretty small frame, so if I could have tightened the straps a little more I’d be good to go. ) Excited to have a tool to amp up my movement!"

Great Gear for Runs
"This is my first weighted vest I’ve ever used, I had seen a few people with one when running outdoors and kept wondering how comfortable they were. I’d have to say that this Zulu weighted vest is super comfortable. It was easy to adjust and I didn’t feel any movement while running. Added a nice twist to my weekend runs. Love that you can remove the fabric to wash/clean it."
